Computer Module Trouble Code Scans

Technician uses tablet to diagnose car engine with digital interface.
Computer Module Trouble Code Scans give you a look inside the brain and nervous system of the vehicle before you spend your money. A good-looking used car can still hide electronic problems that only show up in the computers. I use professional scan tools and 20+ years of diagnostic experience to read every key control module, so you are not surprised later.

I start with an Engine Control Module Scan to check for stored and pending trouble codes that point to misfires, sensor issues, or performance problems that may not yet turn on the check engine light. From there, I run a Transmission Control Module Scan to catch faults that can lead to harsh shifts, slipping, or delayed engagement-issues that often turn into very expensive repairs.

Next, I perform an ABS and Traction Control Module Scan. This helps uncover bad wheel speed sensors, pump faults, or stability-control problems that affect braking and grip, especially in wet or emergency stops. I also run an Airbag System Diagnostic Scan to look for stored faults that can keep airbags or seatbelt pretensioners from working when you need them most.

To round things out, I scan the Body Control Module, which manages power windows, locks, lighting, and many comfort features. Faults here can explain strange electrical behavior that drives owners crazy. Finally, I run an Emission System Diagnostic Scan to spot issues that could cause future smog failures or costly emission repairs.

All findings are explained in plain language so you know what is serious, what is minor, and what might be coming up. Since I only inspect and never sell repairs, you get an honest read on the car's electronics you can use to negotiate or decide whether to walk away.
