Vehicle Safety System Inspections

Vehicle Safety System Inspections focus on the parts of a used car that matter most when something goes wrong on the road. Instead of guessing about safety, I methodically go through the systems that stop, steer, protect, and alert you.

I begin with a Brake System Inspection, checking pads, rotors, drums (if equipped), lines, hoses, and brake fluid condition. I look for uneven wear, overheating, leaks, and soft or low pedals that can lengthen stopping distance when you least expect it.

Next, I perform an Airbag and Restraint System Check. I confirm there are no visible signs of tampering, review warning lights, and make sure the airbag and restraint indicators behave correctly at start-up. This pairs with a Seatbelt Functionality Test, where I check each belt for smooth retraction, proper latching, and signs of fraying or damage.

Lighting and visibility are just as important, so I run a Lighting and Signal Function Test. I check headlights, brake lights, turn signals, hazards, reverse lights, and marker lights to make sure other drivers can see you and understand your intentions in all conditions.

I also complete a Tire and Wheel Safety Assessment. I measure tread depth, look for uneven wear, check tire age, and inspect wheels for cracks, bends, or damage that could affect grip, braking, and ride.

Finally, I carry out a Steering and Suspension Evaluation. I look for worn ball joints, tie rods, bushings, and shocks or struts that cause wandering, poor stability, or excessive body roll.

When I am done, you get a clear, honest picture of how well the vehicle can protect you and your passengers today-not just how nice it looks in photos.
